On 26 October 2021 students from Poland and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe had a unique opportunity to meet virtually during the 4th edition of the University Management Accounting Day (UMAD). The main goal of UMAD CEE is to familiarize students with the essence of management accounting and its role in shaping business.

This year's edition of the event was held online and attracted over 150 students from different economic universities in Poland, Czech Republic and Romania. Participants could make the most of the panel discussion entitled 'Readiness of students to be employed - what are employers looking for in graduates?'. CIMA experts representing global companies from various sectors shared their insights on what competencies employers expect from graduates.

As in previous years, a very important part of the event was the CIMA Business Game, an interactive online competition between students from all participating universities. This time students had an opportunity for additional networking, as they competed in randomly assigned teams. Busines Game participants worked on a case study, in which they took the role of management accountants who have been asked to find solutions to business problems and come up with an idea for a new ride at a theme park.
